A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council and Leesburg Airport Commission was
held on Tuesday, October 5, 1999, at 8:15 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 25 West Market Street,
Leesburg, Virginia. Notice having been delivered to all members of the Leesburg Town Council
prior thereto. The purpose of the meeting was to receive a presentation on the airport expansion.
Mayor Clem called the meeting to order.

Mr. George Paris, representing Campbell & Paris Engineers, presented a slide presentation on the
new terminal area complex for the Leesburg Municipal Airport. Mr. Paris provided an outline of
his presentation, which is attached and made a part of the official minutes of this special meeting.
Favorable comments were received from the Town Council.
Mr. Juan Rivera, Airport Director, requested the Town Council to consider changing the name of
the Leesburg Municipal Airport to the Leesburg Executive Airport, as well as changing the
associated city name from Leesburg to Washington, D. C. This matter was referred to the
October 20, 1999, Administration and Public Works Committee agenda for further consideration.
On motion of, and duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00.
