THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 2008
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in special session Monday, January 7, 2008
in the Council Chambers in said City. Council President Pappin presided.
ROLL CALL: Present were: Howard "Jack" Elstro, Kelley Cruse - Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller,
Bing Welch, Larry Parker, Diana Pappin, Phil Quinn and Bob Goodwin.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
Council President Pappin opened the floor for nominations for the offices of President and Vice President
of the Richmond Common Council.
Councilor Wissel nominated Councilor Parker to serve as President with a second by Councilor Welch.
Councilor Welch moved to close the nominations, with a second by Councilor Quinn. Upon a vote viva
voce, the motion passed. Upon a vote viva voce, Councilor Parker was elected President for 2008.
Councilor Wissel nominated Councilor Goodwin to serve as Vice President with a second by Councilor
Welch. Councilor Parker moved to close the nominations, with a second by Councilor Wissel. Upon a
vote viva voce, the motion passed. Upon a vote viva voce, Councilor Goodwin was elected Vice
President for 2008.
CALL FOR ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting was
adjourned.
