A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY RE-
QUESTING CONVEYANCE FROM LOS ANGELES
COUNTY OF THE LIVE OAK AND TEMPLE
CITY PARKS TO THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City was formed as a General Law
City on May 25, 1960; and
WHEREAS, there is located within the boOndaries of the City
of Temple City the Live Oak and Temple City parks end facilities; and
WHEREAS, this park was owned, developed and maintained by the
County of Los Angeles to provide local park and recreation services for
the then residents of the unincorporated area of Temple'tity; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance and operation of said park is a
matter of local concern and responsibility;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Temple City does
hereby request the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to convey
title to the aforementioned parks as well as the facilities and person'
al property located thereon to the City of Temple City effective the
first day of January, 1960, and effective as of said date the City of
Temple City agrees to establish and maintain thereon a public park for
the people of the City of Temple City.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is directed to forward certified
copies of this resolution to the County -City Coordinator of Los Angeles
County and the Executive Assistant of the Los Angeles County Department
pf Parks and Recreation for processing.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this loth day of November, 1960.

City hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the
City Council of the City of Temple City, at a regular meeting held
on the 14th day of November 1960, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Buchan, Dickason, Merritt, Tyrell & Fitzjohn
NOES: Councilmen -None
