RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1996 the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret
approved a contract to Abbott Contracting Company in the amount of $573,447.66;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has informed the Governing Body that certain
modifications of the contract are reasonable and necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has further certified that the modifications set
forth in Change Order Memo and Certifications Nos. 3 - 8, dated March 25, 1997,
were each unforeseen at the time the original contract was awarded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the sum of $17,350.00 is hereby
added to the original contract and payment of the modified amount is hereby
approved.
Adopted this 3rd day of April, 1997
and certified as a true copy of the
original on April 4, 1997.

CONTRACT
THIS AGREEMENT, made this 3rd day of April 1997
by and between: Abbott Contracting Company

Cliffside Park, N. J. 07010
and the Borough of Carteret, a municipal corporation, having its
principal office at the Borough Hall, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret,
New Jersey, 07008, hereinafter the "BOROUGH".
As per Resolution No. 97-124.
T/~ONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following:
CHANGE ORDER FOR SPORTS FACILITY FOR $17,350.00
according to the terms set forth in the bids and specifications.
T/~ does hereby agree to pay the Contractor_the sums set
forth in the Contractor's bid.
