2325-1968, CcK41NLY RNM AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIC-IMDND,
INDTAITA., ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF PROPERTY m-
CATED AT U.S. 40 EAST AT OEIO-INDIAM LINE FROM A-1 AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT
TO C-4 GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.
T,71MEAS, the Zoning Map which is part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 designates
and describes as A-1 Agricultural District the .following described
property located at U.S. 40 East at Ohio -Indiana line, in the City
of Richmnd, Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Pt. S.E. 36-14 N-L W, Wayne Township, Wayne County,
Indiana, bounded on the West by ramp A of I-701
U.S. 40 interchange and on East by Ohio/Indiana
Tine.
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classifica-
tion on the above described area from A-1 Agricultural District to
C-4.General Business District; and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan
Commission the day of , 1979, at which time
rm mstrances were heard from all parties interested in or affected
by this Ordinance.
UIIUMAS, the vote of the Rictn and City Plan Commission was to
in favor of/in opposition to reccmEending the passa�geo Ordinance
No. 3-1979.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Ccnmn Council of the City of Richwnd, Indiana, as
follows:
SECTION 1. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above
described property be, and the same is hereby changed to C-4 General
Business District, and that said property be regulated inaccordance
with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all
amendments thereto.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval as by law required.

The Richmond aty Plan CoTanissiou met Tuesday, Ja:uLmxy 23, 1979,
to hear the petition of Richard & MLildred Rothert, Lester Chappell
and New Creations, Tne. requesting rezoning from the present A-1
Agricultural to C-4 General Business for property located on
U.S. 40 East at Ohio -Indiana .Line.
Mr. Thomas S. HLIligan, Attorney, represented the petitioner and
asked .that this request be withdrawn,
Therefore, the Plan C=aissi.on voted ten (10) to zero (0) to
reconmend that Ordinance No. 3-1979 be stricken.
