L CITY OF TEMPLE CITY TEMPLE CITY CALIFORNIA ADJOURNED MEETING APRIL 15 . 1` 63 The adjourned meeting of the City Council was held in the office of the City Manager with the following Councilmen present: Councilmen - Dickason, Fitzjohn, Merritt, Nunamaker, Tyrell, Absent - None. This adjourned meeting was to consider the suggestions of Mr. James Fickes, of Fickes & Fickes - Architects for the modification of the present Library building into a City Hall. Inasmuch as Mr. Fickes could not be present it was decided to adjourn this meeting to Tuesday, April 16, 1963, at the City Hall, at 7:00 P. M. at which time Ickes will present and discuss with the Council the above project. At this time the question of designation of a new Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem was discussed. The ballot following gave three votes which constituted a majority to A. L. Nunamaker for Mayor for the year April, 19o3, to April, 1964, thus electing Mr. Nunamaker as Mayor of the City of Temple City. Following this a ballot was taken for Mayor Pro Tem with Howard M. Dickason being elected for the same term as the Mayor by a vote of 2, one abstaining and one each for two other Councilmen. Thus Howard M. Dickason was elected Mayor Pro Tem of Temple City. After this election the Council Meeting was adjourned until Tuesday, April 16, 1963, at 7 :00 P. M. in the Manager's Office. ATTEST: City Clerk C ! T Y C O U M C I L ADJOURNED MEETING CITY OF TEMPLE CITY TEMPLE CITY CALIFORNIA APRIL 16, 1963 The Council convened at this time to consult with Mr. Fickes of Fickes Z; Fickes, Architects, and discussed different phases of the modification of the existing Library for a City Hall. The following were included in the discussion: 1. discussed period of time the building should be designed to serve for, 2. discussed permanent and temporary seating capacity of the Council Chambers, 3. discussed generally the functions provided for in the build- ing, 4. discussed off - street parking with relationship to facility, 5. discussed method to be used to determine space matters for the building, 6. indicated that although we want Mr. Fickes to prepare pre- liminary drawings and cost estimate but which would not nec- essarily bind the City to retain him to do the final working drawings and supervise the construction, 7. indicated we needed this matter completed prior to the ad- option of the budget. Council adjourned to the next regular meeting on April 22, 1963, at 7:30 P. M. at the City Hall, ATTEST: 443
