161.2 SUBJECT: CITY PROSECUTOR - ORGANIZATION AND POLICY
:1 OBJECTIVE:
Provide for prosecutorial enforcement of the City (municipal) Code.
:2 AUTHORITY:
This procedure amended by City Council June 21, 1993.
:3 DIRECTION:
City Prosecutor, as an appointed official, serves at the pleasure of the Mayor and
receives direction through the City Attorney.
:4 FUNCTIONS:
A. Institutes proceedings in county court for the enforcement of all municipal
ordinances.
B. Serves as an instructor in the police academy.
C. Assumes other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Mayor.
:5 FORMS:
None.
:6 COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.
:7 REFERENCE:
