A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF A FILL IN EMPLOYEE FOR
SNOW PLOWING
WHEREAS, Snow plowing is part of the job description of the Regular Part Time Maintenance
Person and
WHEREAS, On occasion the Regular Maintenance Person is unavailable during a snow event
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Riverdale has determined that it would be in the best
interest of the city to hire an employee to assist the Maintenance Person on an as needed basis,
and
WHEREAS, the Volunteer Firefighters are already covered under the City Insurance policy
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that any existing Volunteer Firefighter be able to fill
in when regular Maintenance is unavailable at a wage of$15.00 per hour.
This Resolution shall take immediate effect.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THE 17 of January, 2017.
