PROPERTY TAX CANCELLATION AND REFUND
WHEREAS, Block 217, Lot 26, for property known as 86 Lowell
Street applied for and received a $250.00 Senior Citizens
deduction for the 1995 tax year, and
WHEREAS, in 1996, this taxpayer filed an annual post-tax
statement with the Tax Collector indicating that income for
1995 exceeded the $10,000 maximum threshold, and
WHEREAS, upon further review, the Tax Collecto7 has
determined that.the taxpayer is not over income and does
qualify for the $250.00 senior citizens deduction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Coundil of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that
the Tax Collector cancel the $250.00 senior citizCn'eharge
for 1995 and refund this amount to the homeowner,
accordingly.
Adopted this 17th day of April, 1997 and
certified as a true copy of the original
on April 18, 1997.
