AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO ThIE CITY OF GREENCASTLE, PUTNAia4 COUNTY, INDIANA
PURSUANT TO T1IE VOLUNTARY PETI'T'ION OF
JOHN D. WOOD & MARJORIE E. WOOD
Section 1. The territory described below is contiguous to the city boundaries of the
City of Greencastle and pursuant to a Petition for Voluntary Annexation and I.C. 36- 4 -3 -5,
Elie same is hereby annexed to and declared to be a part of the City of Greencastle, Indiana.
Situate in the State of Indiana, County of Putnam and being a part of the West
half of the Southeast quarter of Section 22, Township 14 North, Range 4 West
of the Second Principal Meridian, more particularly described to -wit:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the West half of the Southeast quarter of
Section 22, Township 14 North, Range 4 West; thence North 1665 feet to the
Northwest corner of the South half of the South half of the Northwest quarter
Of the Southeast quarter of the aforesaid Section 22; thence East 1326 feet to the
Northeast corner of the South half of the South half of the Northwest quarter
of the aforesaid Southeast quarter; thence South 1668 feet to the Southeast
corner of the West half of the aforesaid Southeast quarter; thence West 1316 feet
• to the point of beginning containing 50.54 acres more or less.
Subject to all easements, restrictions, reservations and rights -of -way of record.
Section 2. That this Ordinance for voluntary annexation will not obligate the City for
costs or encumberment within or upon said real estate and shall not obligate the City as to
furnishing of capital services to such property.
Section 3. That the property annexed hereunder shall become a part of the FoUr k
Ward �rt_ Precinct Municipal Legislative District.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
by the Common Council and its publication, as provided by law.
