WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2010
CLEAR CREEK AMANA MIDDLE SCHOOL CAFETERIA
Mayor Royce Phillips called meeting to order at 6:30pm.
Roll Call of members present Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mike Gericke, Mark Petersen and Travis Weipert.
Also present Attorney Steve Greenleaf and City Clerk Ruth Demuth.
Motion made by Council person Petersen and seconded by Council person Gericke for approval of Agenda.
Council members discussed Law Enforcement proposal presented to establish a Tiffin Police Department. Attorney
Greenleaf reported on results of research conducted on Liability Insurance coverage and answered inquiries from Council
members. Inquiries from Councilors on feasibility, functionality, and costs involved on the proposal were answered.
Council members requested Attorney to conduct additional research on legality of proposal and forward information
before regular City Council meeting August 11, 2010.
Motion made by Gericke and seconded by Weipert for adjournment at 8:13pm.
