RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1996 by Resolution #96-116, the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret approved a contract to Abbott Construction, Inc~ in the
amount of $573,447.66; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has informed the Governing Body that a
modification of the contract, specifically a substitution of roofing materials, is
reasonable and necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has further certified that said modifications were
unforeseen at the time the original contract was awarded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the sum of $25,700.00 is hereby
reduced for the purpose of installing window guards to the original contract and
payment of the modified amount is hereby approved.
Adopted this 17th day of April, 1997
and certified as a true copy of the
original on April 18, 1997.
