Aggravated Battery Arrest at Plainfield Central High School
Plainfield, IL – On Friday, April 5, 2019, at approximately 0954 hours, staff at Plainfield Central High
School notified the School Resource Officer of a male fleeing from the building after having battered a
staff member. The fleeing male was stopped and detained by Plainfield Police Patrol Units in the area
and identified as 18-year-old, Izak Ramos, a resident of Joliet, and graduate of Plainfield Central High
School.
During the subsequent investigation it was learned Ramos entered the school, and while inside made
his way to a gym class, where he battered a student prior to attempting to flee before encountering the
staff member.
Ramos was arrested and charged with 2 felony counts of aggravated battery, criminal trespass to state
supported property, and possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. Neither battery victim
required medical treatment. Ramos was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility
