Councilmembers Present: Katie Sheldon Hammler, Marty Martinez, Ken Reid,
Kevin Wright, David Butler, Tom Dunn, and Mayor Kristen Umstattd.
Councilmembers Absent: None.
Staff Present: Town Manager John Wells, Town Attorney Jeanette Irby, and Clerk of
Council Lee Ann Green.
LEGISLATION
1. Appointing a Vice Mayor
On a motion by Council Member Hammler, seconded by Council Member
Martinez, the following was proposed:
RESOLUTION 2010-075
Appointing a Vice Mayor
Council Member Reid stated he had intended to make a motion for Council
Member Hammler to continue as Vice Mayor.
The motion was approved by the following vote:
Aye: Butler, Hammler, Martinez, Wright, and Mayor Umstattd
Nay: Dunn and Reid
Vote: 5-2
2. Boards and Commissions Aopointments
On a motion by Council Member Reid, seconded by Council Member Martinez,
the following appointments were proposed:

k. Economic Development Commission
On a motion by Council Member Martinez, seconded by Council
Member Butler, the following was proposed:
RESOLUTION 2010-079
Making Appointments to the Economic Development Commission
(Eunggil Choi, Scott Gustavson, Jim Sisley and William A. Porter)
Council Member Dunn stated his disagreement with appointing an
individual to more than one Board or Commission. He stated it is important
to have as many individuals serving as possible. He noted that Mr. Sisley is
his nominee to the Board of Architectural Review and out of respect for Mr.
Sisley, he will not vote against this resolution, but will abstain.
The motion was approved by the following vote:
Aye: Butler, Hammler, Martinez, Reid, Wright and Mayor Umstattd
Nay: None
Vote: 6-0-1 (Dunn abstaining)
