RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
__ SURVEYING SERVICES
WHEREAS, there exists a need for surveying services on behalf of the Borough of
Carteret ( the "Borough") from time to time; and
WHEREAS, Borrie, McDonald, Watson are licensed surveyors; and
WHEREAS, Borrie, McDonald, Watson have offered the lowest price to perform
said surveying services; and
WHEREAS, this contract is being awarded without competitive bidding in that the
Borrie, McDonald, Watson bid is below the bid threshold as set forth in N.J.S.A.
40A:l 1-3; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has certified that this meets the
Statute and Regulations governing the award of said contracts and that funds are
available for the payment of such contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1 .) The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract
for surveying services with Borrie, McDonald, Watson in an amount not to exceed
$2,500.00 at'an hourly rate as per the attached schedule.
2.) That this contract is awarded without competitive bidding in that the price does
not exceed the threshold amount set forth in NJ.S.A. 40A: 11-3.
3.) Notification of the contract award shall be printed in The News Tribune on April
22, 1997.
Adopted this 17th day of April, 1997
and certified as a true copy of the
original on April 18, 1997.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE FOR SURVEYING SERVICE.
according to the terms set forth in the bids and specifications.
