THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. ;J. ~:3
AN ORDINANCE INCORPORATING BY REFERENCE
THE "UNIFORM FIRE CODE," 1991 EDITION, AS
AMENDED BY SEDGWICK COUNTY RESOLUTION
NUMBER 254-1992 AND REPEALING ORDINANCES
NUMBER 9, 83 AND 187.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1.
Incorporating Uniform Fire Code
There is hereby incorporated by reference, for the purpose of
prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and
property from fire and explosion, that certain code known as the
"Uniform Fire Code," 1991 Edition, prepared and published in book
form by the International Conference of Building Officials and the
Western Fire Chiefs Association, 5360 South Workman Mill Road,
Whittier, California, as amended by Sections 1 through 11 of
Resolution Number 254-1992 of the Board of County Commissioners of
Sedgwick County, Kansas. No fewer than three (3) copies of said
Uniform Fire Code and Sedgwick County Resolution Number 254-1992
shall be marked "Official Copy as adopted by Ordinance No.
.:l.2.~ ," to which shall be attached a copy of this Ordinance, and
filed with the City Clerk to be open to inspection and available to
the public at all reasonable hours.
Section 2.
Repeal
Ordinances Number 9, 83 and 187 are hereby repealed. All
other ordinances or parts of other ordinances in conflict herewith
are repealed. However, any section of an existing ordinance not in
conflict herewith is not repealed and remains in full force and
effect.

Section 3.
Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its publication in the official city newspaper.
