HomeMy Public PortalAboutMinutes - 7/19/2004 The Wellsburg City Council met in special session July 19, 2004 with Mayor Fox presiding and all councilmen present.
Discussion of utility rates and the need for increases. Water, Sewer and Garbage Utilities are in the red and there was a need to increase rates to cover the expenses of these utilities.
Also a discussion about the need to convert to monthly billing.
Motion by Lindaman second by James to increase water rates to $.05/cubic foot and to increase garbage rates to $12.00/per month. Utilities will be billed monthly with a 1 1/2 % service
charge added to bills not paid by the 30th of each month. City Clerk will have attorney prepare the ordinance amendments for approval at the August meeting. All ayes, carried.
Motion to adjourn Nielsen second by Meints. All ayes, carried.
