AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Four Million Dollars
($4,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction
in FF-07 Fee Fee Creek Sanitary Relief (Meadowside Dr to Willow Brook Dr) (10012) in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21918
with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Four Million One
Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars ($4,197,597.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Two
Thousand Four Hundred Three Dollars ($402,403.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2022
(FY2022) for a total appropriation amount of Four Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($4,600,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in FF-07 Fee
Fee Creek Sanitary Relief (Meadowside Dr to Willow Brook Dr) (10012) in Unincorporated St.
Louis County, Missouri; and said contract shall be comprised of such other terms and conditions
as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21819
with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible proposer for sanitary sewer construction
in FF-07 Fee Fee Creek Sanitary Relief (Meadowside Dr to Willow Brook Dr) (10012) in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 7th day of July, 2020.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted on September 10, 2020.
