WHEREAS, Resolution No. 3613 will exercise option year two (2) of the contract
previously authorized by Ordinance No. 15075, adopted December 13, 2018, which authorized the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into a contract with CIGNA Healthcare (CIGNA), whereby CIGNA would provide the
District’s dental benefits for the District employees and family members.
WHEREAS, said contract provided for an initial term of one (1) year with
additional one-year renewal terms at the option of the District; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to exercise its
second (2nd) option year to renew said contract, commencing on January 1, 2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT THAT, the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to exercise the District's option to renew for the second one-year renewal term, commencing on
January 1, 2021, the contract with CIGNA, whereby CIGNA would provide the District’s dental
benefits for the District employees and family members, and said contract renewal shall be
comprised of such other terms and conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel
of the District.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted on September 10, 2020.
