KNAPP STREET"; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, in recognition of Robert S. Knapp's contributions to the City of Opa-locka ("City"),Commissioner Timothy Holmes proposed that Peri Street from Seaman Avenue to NW 27th Avenue in the City be dual-designated as "The Honorable Robert S. Knapp Street"; and WHEREAS, after hearing public comments on the matter, the City Commission has considered the recommendation to dual-designate Peri Street from Seaman Avenue to NW 27th Avenue as "The Honorable Robert S. Knapp Street". THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA HEREBY ORDAINS: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby approves the dual- designation of Peri Street from Seaman Avenue to NW 27th Avenue as "The Honorable Robert S. Knapp Street" and directs the City Manager to take all necessary actions to carry-out the intent and objectives of this Ordinance. Section 3. All ordinances or Code provisions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section,subsection,sentence,clause,phrase or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction,such portion Ordinance No. 0 9—0 4 shall be deemed a separate,distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. Section 5. This Ordinance shall, upon adoption, become effective as specified by the City of Opa-locka Code of Ordinances and the City of Opa-locka Charter.
