The petitioner, Ralph H.. Livingston and Contract Purchasers, James L. Jackson and Robert Farmer were represented by Donald Simkin, Attorney, and were requesting rezoning from R-3 One -to - Eight Family Residence District to M-1 Light Industrial.District for property located at 501 South "Q" Street to expand cabinet making shop on adjoining property. No one spoke in opposition to the petition. Forty-two (42) letters had been sent to adjoin- ing properties; none were returned in favor and two (2) in opposi- tion. .The Plan Commission voted nine (9) ayes and zero (0) nayes in favor of this rezoning. Commissioners Hunter and Welch were absent. Respectfully submitted, CITY PLAN COMMISSION Robert B. Goodwin Executive Secretary 26 March 1979 To the Planning Commission of the City of Richmond+ Nay name is William Henderson and I live at 1708 South Fifth Street, Richmond, Indiana, which is directly across the street, to the west, from B-J Cabinets and Tops. Since B-J Cabinets and Tops has operated across the street from. me, I have observed a definite impromrement in the appearance of the premises on which they are located. T will be unable to attend the Planning Commission meeting on 27 March 1979, so I am writing this letter to be presented at the meeting on my behalf. I am in favor of the proposed rezoning petition of B-J Cabinets and Tops to rezone their property from R-3 to K-1 so that they can expand their opera- tion and make the best use of their land.
