JEAN PRUETT STREET"; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS,in recognition of"Mother"E. Jean Pruett's contributions to the City of Opa- locka("City"),Vice-Mayor Taylor proposes that NW 141st Street from NW 23rd Avenue to NW 26th Avenue be dual-designated as "Mother E. Jean Pruett Street"; and WHEREAS, after hearing public comments on the matter, the City Commission has considered the recommendation to dual-designate NW 141st Street from NW 23rd Avenue to NW 26th Avenue as "Mother E.Jean Pruett Street". THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA HEREBY ORDAINS: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby approves the dual- designation of NW 141st Street from NW 23rd Avenue to NW 26th Avenue as"Mother E.Jean Pruett Street" and directs the City Manager to take all necessary actions to carry-out the intent and objectives of this Ordinance. Section 3. All ordinances or Code provisions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section,subsection,sentence,clause,phrase or portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction,such portion Ordinance No. 0 9-0 7 shall be deemed a separate,distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. Section 5. This Ordinance shall,upon adoption,become effective as specified by the City of Opa-locka Code of Ordinances and the City of Opa-locka Charter.
