AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 57-1978 COMM M Y KNOWN AS THE SALARY AND
POSITION ORDINANCF. OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED .NLY 17, 1978.
I%TM=, the Federal Title VI Comprehensive Employment Training Act (CETA) has
been changed; and,
WHEREAS, the Wayne County Commissioners requested a revised contract due to the
changes in the CETA program; and,
WHEREAS, the following changes are to be made pursuant to the above request; and,
I+ITiERI.AS, the ordinance will only be in full force and effect if the revised
contract is received and the changes in the CETA program are in effect; and,
;VIIEREA.S, the effective time of the changes in the CETA program is 12:00 o'clock
midnight March 31, 1979; and,
WHEREAS, the effective date of this ordinance will he 12.00 o'clock midnight
bIarch 31, 1979.
1TOR' THER}?FORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Con on Cotuicil of the City of Richmond.,
Indiana:
SECTION 1. Department of Finance
1. The following position be added and shall receive the following
salary: Office Clerk $6,800.
Department of Community Development
1. (3) Planner 1 $13,316. to he increased to (4) Planner I @
$13,316.
2. (3) Planner IV @ $11,572. to be decreased to (2) Planner IV
@ $11,572.
3. (2) Housing Inspectors @ $10,930. to be decreased to (1)
Housing Inspector @ $10,930.
4. (7) General 'Maintenance @ $10,514. to be eliminated.
S. fl) Physical Director t $8,975. to be eliminated.
6. (2) Painters @ $10,514. to be eliminated..
7. (1) Lead Painter @ $11,097, to be eliminated.
S. (1) Youth Worker @ $9,720.to be eliminated.
Civil City Frigineering
1. (2) Draftsman @ $10,287.to be xeduced to (1) Draftsman, @
$10,287.
Police Department
1. (3) Iog Warden a $9,839. to be reduced to (2) Dog Warden @ $9,839.
2. (2) Parking Enforcement Detail @ $8,986. to be reduced to Cl)

3. (3) Security Guards R $9,029. to be eliminated.
4. (2) Clerk Typists - Records @ $6,977. to be reduced to (1) Clerk

SECTION 2. Be it further ordained that this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from 12:00 o'clock midnight March 31, 1979 and subject to the CETA program
being changed and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
