A RESOLUTION FOR ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF PAYMENT FOR 2011 -2012 ANNUAL
STREET AND CURB REPAIRS PROJECT
AND
EMERGENCY STREET REPAIRS MADDIE LANE
WHEREAS, the Contractor Masterbuilt Concrete LLC. was approved by Resolution 2011 -51 on October
26, 2011 to conduct repairs to be made under emergency measures on Maddie Ln. in the City of Tiffin.
WHEREAS, upon inspection by the Tiffin Public Works department, the repairs have been accepted and
Contractor has submitted a request for payment.
WHEREAS, Contractor has submitted a pay request for the amount of $12,540.18 for 2011 -2012 Annual
Street and Curb Repairs and a request for the amount of $40,237.00 for the emergency repairs on Maddie
Lane.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE City Council of Tiffin, Iowa, to accept project and approve
Road Use Tax Funds for the Annual Street and Curb repairs and the remaining budget to pay for the
emergency repairs and the remaining funds to be used from the Local Option Sales Tax funds.
On the 9th day of November, 2011 at a regular City Council meeting Council person Travis Weipert
introduced Resolution 2011 -54 A RESOLUTION FOR ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF PAYMENT FOR
2011 -2012 ANNUAL STREET AND CURB REPAIRS PROJECT AND EMERGENCY STREET REPAIRS
MADDIE LANE and made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Chris Ball.

Nay: None
Absent: Mike Gericke
Four votes by City Council members, Mayor Royce Phillips declared Resolution 2011 -54 A RESOLUTION
FOR APPROVAL FO PAYMENT FOR 2011 -2012 ANNUAL STREET AND CURB REPAIRS PROJECT AND
EMERGENCY STREET REPAIRS MADDIE LANE approved and therefore affixes his signature.
