Upon motion of Mr. Whittaker, seconded by Mr. Bonneau, it was unanimously voted that the proposed Ordinance No. 16 be enacted, entitled as follows: irdinance No. 16. "AN ORDINANCE OF' HAL HARBOUR VIIIAGE, FLORIDA, AMENLING SIZTION 8 OF ORDINANCE No. 2 hNTITLFTis 'AN 0 LINANCE OF' BAL HARBOUR YILL16E, FU_)RI1,A DEFINING OFFENSES, FIXTNG FUNISH`IENTS AND FINES, AND RR:GULATING TO EVILENCIE, SEARCHES AND SEI2URFS, TRAFr'IC REGULATIONS'." There being no further business before the meeting on motion duly made, seconded, and carried the meeting adjourned. Attest: Clerk Mayor APRIL 11, 1949 The regular meeting of the council of Bal Harbour Village was held Monday evening, April 11, 1949, at 8 o'clock in the Administration Building. Present were: Messrs. Bonneau, Graham, Jr., Simone, Southerland, and Whittaker. Also present were Mr. W. H. Webb, Town Manager, and Mary T. Wetterer, Town Clerk. The minutes of the meeting of March 7, 1949 were read and approved. The financial reports for village operation for the first six months were considered and discussed by the council and upon motion of Mr. Graham, seconded by Mr. Simons, the reports were approved. APRIL 11. 1949 44 Mr. Southerland reported that at the meeting of November 28, 1947 it was moved that all Councilmen and the Village Manager should be sworn in as police officers of the village and thereupon all the councilmen and town manager were sworn in as police officers. Considerat.ian was given as to whether Mr. George W. 'Talker could be appointed Honorary Police Commissioner of Bal Harbour Village. After discussion upon motion of Mr. Graham, Jr.,seconded by Mr. Whittaker, it was unanimously passed that the office of Honorary Police Commissioner be created and thereafter Mr. George W. Walker was elected to the office of Honorary Police Commissioner of Bal Harbour Village to serve for the balance of the current calendar year. There being no further business before the meeting upon motion of Mr. Bonneau, seconded by Mr. Simons, the meeting adjourned.
