AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING ORDINANCE
NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED .TUNE 3, 1968, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 630 SOUTH "M" STREET AND 710 SOUTH "M" STREET FROM
M-1 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO M-2 GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 de-
signates and describes as M-1 Light Industrial District the
following described property known as 630 South "M" Street and
710 South "M" Street in the City of Richmond, Indiana, more
particularly described as follows:
TRACT NO. 1:
Lots numbered 226, 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, and 232 in 3eallview
Addition to the City of Richmond and 7-7/2 feet of vacated alley
running along the West end of said lots.
TRACT Nn 9-
Lots numbered 284, 285, 286, 287 and 288. Also 7-1/2 feet of
vacated alley running along the east end of said lots.
Lots numbered 233, 234 and 235 in Beallview Addition to the City
of Richmond. Also all 15 feet of vacated alley running along the
west end of said lots and 1/2 of vacated South 7th Street running
along the south end of lot 235.
Lots 236, 237 and 238 in Beallview Addition to the City of Rich-
mond. Also 1/2 of vacated South 7th Street running along the
east side of said lots.
Lots numbered 180, 181, 182, 183, 184, 195, 186, 187, 188, 189
and 190 in 3eallview Addition to the City of Richmond. Also 1/2
of South 7th Street running along the west end of said lots.
TRACT NO. 3:
Lots numbered 175, 176, 177, 178 and 179 in Beallview Addition to
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classi-
fication on the above described area from M-1 Light Industrial
District to M-2 General Industrial District; and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan-
ning Commission the day of , 1979, at
which time remonstrances were heard from all rartles interested in
or affected by this Ordinance.
WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was q to
0 in favor of/i recommending the passage
of Ordinance No. 42-1979.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as
follows,
SECTION 1. It is hereby ordained that the Zoning classification of the
above described property be, and the same is hereby changed to
M-2 General Industrial District, and that said property be regu-
lated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, all amendments thereto.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval as by law required.

Plan Commission Case PC-79-12
Dear Mr. Paust, Myers of Common Council and Mrs. Trimble -
The Richmond City Plan Commission held a public hearing on Tuesday,
May 22, 1979, on the petition of David and Wilma. Muff, Jack and Debra
Edelman and Ahaus Tool Co., Inc. requesting to rezone property at
630 and 710 South ".q' Street from M--1 Light Industrial District to
M-2 General Industrial District for the purpose of placing the ex-
isting uses in the correct zoning district.
'Ix ty-six (26) notices of public hearing were sent to adjoining
property owners with none returned in favor of or in opposition to
the request. Four (4) persons spoke in opposition to the request at
the public hearing.
The Plan Caamission. voted nine (9) to zero (0) to recommend the
Ordinance be approved.
