The facility features over 25,000 square feet of hangar and office space, and fuel services for corporate aircraft. The Leesburg expansion will complement ProJet’s existing flight operations in Winchester and Manassas. “We are pleased to announce our expansion in the Dulles marketplace, with Leesburg as our newest community partner,” said Shye Gilad, President of ProJet Aviation. “With this new location, ProJet can offer competitive hangar and fuel rates, and convenient access to Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.” Leesburg Executive Airport has direct access off the Dulles Greenway toll road (VA Route 267) and an aggressive growth plan that includes a runway extension and additional hangars. Installation of an Instrument Landing System (ILS) is underway. ProJet will base four aircraft at Leesburg, two of which are owned by Sheila Johnson’s companies. The other two aircraft are available for charter. Leesburg-based aircraft will include a long-range Gulfstream G-IV Jet and the efficient Piaggio Avanti II turboprop. The G-IV will be the largest aircraft based at Leesburg.
