AN ORDIXPLNCE TO APPROPRIATE FROM CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND.
(CIGARETTE TAX)
WHEREAS, certain extraordinanry emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government
than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW T11EREF0RE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
I ND IATIA
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its
institutions for the year ending December 31, 1979, the fallowing amount
Of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named and
the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to the law governing .the
same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures
to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is herby appropriated

from Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund CCigarette Tax) the following
specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to
exist;

(CIGARETTE TAX)
TOTAL $84,094, $84,094.
These funds are to be appropriated for the following;
Matching Funds for Glen Miller Park Lake Project Number 18-00356;
includes dredging, landscaping, construction of boat docks, picnic
shelter and restrooms.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State
of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.

The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the
Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper .of general circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of May 23rd and May 30th
Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the 4th day of
June, 1979 by the Common Council to consider additional appropria-
tions as provided for ,in Ordinance No. 48-1979 , within the. City of
Richmond, Indiana. The pruof of publicatiVIL and posting of notices were examined
and found to be correct and in order, Councilman Mills moved the
proofofpublication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed, .
seconded by Councilman Carter , and on voice vote the motion was
carried.
