A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY',000INCIL OF
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY INDICATING
INTEREST IN A FACILITY FOR COMMUNITY
ASSEMBLAGE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RE-
SOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS the City contains approximately 3x,000 people, and
the adjacent unincorporated territory several thousand more, and
WHEREAS it is desirable that a facility for community meet-
ings be provided, and
WHEREAS the County of Los Angeles is interested in providing
these facilities in the unincorporated territory of the County, and
WHEREAS it would appear advantageous for the County of Los
Angeles and the City of Temple City to consider this matter jointly.
NOW THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Temple City
does further resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. It is in the public interest to provide faciliti-
es for community meetings within the City and surrounding unincorporat-
ed territory, and the City desires to consider this matter with the
County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to initiate
discussions with the County of Los Angeles concerning this subject.
