Winter Carnival Discussed that I will be working with the Dog pull for winter carnival. We hope to make the tracks for the dog pull and the dog sled demonstration Feb. 1st and 2nd. This shouldn't take up much time. I also hope to spend some time at the carnival this year to see how the recreation department can help out in the future. Recreation Planning and Consulting I have contacted JEL/KMP Recreation planning group. This organization works closes with parks and recreation with comprehensive planning, recreation centers and recreation districts. I believe they will be valuable in our future if we want to expand the area of McCall's recreation. We have not had the snow fall to be able to do the trails yet this season. IV V Interviews for Intern - February We are looking at moving forward with the process of hiring an intern for the summer. We would like to conduct the hiring process sometime in early February. Basketball in March? We are hoping to work with the middle school for 3A and 5/6 grade basketball being in the middle of March. I have tried to program for basketball in January but due to overuse of the school district's facilities it is impossible. Cross Country Equipment Many of the schools have contacted me to use the equipment for instructional use. I wanted to make sure that the schools outside of the McCall area did not have to pay to use this equipment. The committee agreed that there did not need to be a usage fee for the equipment. They wanted me to contact Riggins to see if they might be interested in using the equipment to help establish a bond with this area. OLD BUSINESS No one had any new questions about old business.
