AMID 501, 503 AM 514 SOUTH "V' STREET FRI'I R-3 CANE-TO-EIGM FAMILY
RESIDENCE DISTRICT AND C-1 NEIGi MMD BUSIMSS DISTRICT TO C-2

WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 desig-
nates and describes as R-3 One -to -Eight -Family- Residence District
and C-1 Neighborhood Business District the follad-ng described
property eomnonly known as 1027, 1029, 1033, 1100, 1101, 1109,
1112, 1201, 1203, 1204, L206 and 1209 South 5th Street, 491
South "IC" Street and 501, 503, and 514 South "L" Street in the
City of Richmond, Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Lots 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 in Anna B. Cohorst's Addition
Lots 37 and 38 in the William S. Iancaster Addition
Lots 514, 515, 516, 572, 573 and 574 in the Bealview Addition
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classi-
fication on the above described area from R-3 One -to -Eight
Family Residence District and G1 Neighborhood Business District
to C-2 Cammmity Business District; and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted b the Richmiond City
Plan Counission the pn %Z day of 1979,
at which time remonstrances were heard tr&nall parties interested
in or affected by this Ordinance.
WHERFAS, the vote of the Rictmiond City Plan CmTAssion was // to
p in favor of recomieading the passage of Ordinance No.
54-1979.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Commn Council of the City of Rich=d, Indiana, as
follaas :
SECTION 1. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the
above described property be, and the same is hereby changed to
C-2 CoimRmity Business District, and that said property he regu-
lated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval as by law required.

Dear Nlr, Paust, Mmbers of Camm Council & Mrs. Trimble:
The Ri.ct=nd City Plan Oxni.ssion held a public hearing on Tuesday,
.Jane 26, 1979, on the petition of Dennis and Ruby P. Fanner, et al
(rtrrre than 50% of the property miners of the area in question) re-
questing to rezone property at 1027, 1029, 1033, 1100, 1101, 1109,
1112, 1201, 1203, 1204, 1206 and 1209 Satoh 5th Street; 491 South
" ' Street and 501, 503 and 514 South " V' Street, from R-3 One -to -
Eight Family Residence District and C-1 Neighborhood Business Dis-
triet to C-2 Comminit-y Business District for the purpose of placing
the existing ca=iercial uses in the correct zoning district;,
Thirty-four (34) notices of public hearing were seat to adjoining
,f property omers with none returned in favor of or to apposition to
the request. No one spoke in opposition to the request at the pub-
lic hearing;,
An em)r in the legal description of the ondnance was noted at the
public hearing. Lot 39 in the William S. lancaster Addition,. as
written in the 0zdinanae, should be corrected to read lot 38 in the
William S. Lancaster Addition.
The Plan Canmission voted eleven (11) to zero (0) to recganmerid the
Ordinance be approved *with the amendment to the legal description as
indicated above.
