Skate Park grant application

Boise. Myself, Cindy Crawford and Holly Thrash will be presenting. We should find
out in April if we will receive funding.
Sponsors- Skate park/softball/baseball
Informed the committee that I am currently looking for more sponsors for these
programs. Scotty Davenport gave me two more sponsors.
After School Program
The new program will be starting March 31st. So far signup are going fine. We have
started a new fee that lets kids attend the program two or less days a week. This will give
another option for families.
Winter Special Olympics
Working with the Special Olympics for the next three years for the winter Special
Olympics being held at Ponderosa and Brundage. On Saturday March 15, I will the MC
for the closing ceremonies. Informed the Committee that it would be nice to have anyone
attend or help out.
Bike Path Committee
The Committee Chair wanted me to contact the Bike Path Committee and see where they
are at and where they are going in the future. I have contacted and attended their first
meeting. I am going to work closes with this group and help them gain momentum.
Youth Softball/Baseball
Sign-ups will begin next month. I am looking forward to running these programs for the
youth in our community.
Cross Country Ski Trips are on schedule. We have lent out our cross country ski
equipment to three schools thus far and have two more schools to go. So far we have
given 80 children the opportunity to experience cross country skiing at Ponderosa State
Park. Without the help of Ponderosa State Park, the teachers and our equipment this
would not be possible. I have attended two of the outings and have been happy with the
smiling faces and enthusiasm of the children.
Big Air Contest
Will be helping on April 12th with the big air contest. This will be run to raise money for
the McCall Skate park.
Improvements at Fairway
As soon as the weather clears we look forward to improving Fairway Park. We will be
adding roofs to our dugouts, increasing the outfield fence to 6' high and redoing the
backstop on Field A.
