AN ORDINANCE FIXING CERTAIN BENEFITS UNDER THE FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND FOR THE CITY
OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 19-1-37-14 provides for the widow of a deceased fireman to
receive an amount fixed by ordinance but not less than thirty per cent,(30%) of the
monthly wage received by a fully paid first-class fireman in such city at the time
of the payment of such pension; and their children under eighteen (18) years of
age each shall receive an amount fixed by Ordinance but not less than ten per cent
(10%) of the monthly wage received by a fully paid first-class fireman in such city
at the time of the payment of such pension, and
MIEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Firemen's Pension Fund of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, has recommended that the above percentage for the widow of a deceased
fireman be exactly thirty-five.(35%)of the monthly wage received by the fully paid
first-,c-lass fireman; and their children under eighteen (18) years of age each.

first-class fireman.;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICB�jON➢,1VAYNE
COUNTY, INDIANA-.
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Indiana Code 19-1-37-14, in the City of Richmond , Indiana,
the monthly paymeii to the widow of a deceased fireman by exactly thirty-five per
cent (35%) of the monthly wage received by a fully paid first-class fireman;
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Indiana Code 19-1-37-14 in the City of Richmond, Indiana,
the monthly payment to their children under eighteen (18) years of age each be
exactly fifteen percent (15%) of the monthly wage received by a fully paid first-
class fireman;
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from January 1, 1980
and after upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, this
