TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING
Mayor Phillips called meeting to order at 6:38pm. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Springmier Library.
toll Call of members present: Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mike Gericke, Mark Petersen, and Travis Weipert.
Also present was City Clerk Ruth Demuth.
Motion by Council person Bartels and seconded by Council person Weipert for approval of agenda as presented. All
following actions by City Council vote approved and carried by all Ayes unless so noted other with absences noted.
Items of Discussion:
FY 2011-2012 Budget was detailed, itemized, and discussed extensively. Council members included the construction of
the new water tower on Capital Improvements. Discussion held on Woodfield Ridge retention pond improvements, Jasper
Avenue railroad signalization, City Fund Accounting Software as per in State Auditor's recommendation, Trail Phase Four,
property acquisitions for Ireland Avenue Extension Project, continuation of Sewer Rehab in old part of city, sidewalk to
tunnel under Hwy 6 after completion of Ireland Ave Extension, and curtailing future Soccer Field Improvements for an
additional year.
Public Hearing for approval of Budget set for regular City Council meeting on March 9, 2011 at Springmier Library at
6:30pm.
Motion by Bartels and seconded by Ball for adjournment at 9:
