Residents Cautioned About Storm Damage to Trees
Brush Removal to Resume on February 23, 2010, Weather Permitting
Leesburg, VA (February 22, 2010) – As a result of severe winter weather of the past several
weeks, many trees within the Town have sustained damage and can pose a danger to
pedestrians and drivers. The Town reminds residents that they are responsible for maintaining
eight feet of clearance above sidewalks for pedestrian safety and for visibility of street signs.
The Town Urban Forester cautions residents to please seek professional help for the removal of
any large limbs or trees. For more information on storm recovery for trees, please visit the

Weather permitting, the Town will resume normal brush removal during the week of February
22, 2010.
