Town Board
Mayor Jensen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Board
present were Klancke, Muhlbauer, Finlay, Schauner, Johnston
and Buchheister. Also present for the meeting was Clay Brown,
Manager for Frasee.
Schauner made a motion to pay these bills, 2nd Muhlbauer. carried.
Oleta Rogers, owner of a new rent -all business questioned a location
for a propane tank. The requirements from the inspectors for the
gas industry requires that the tank is 25 feet from any structure.
Upon discussion with the Clerk's office the set back could not
be determined in the zoning Ordinance. After review of the tank, and
best location on site for continuance of traffic on the busy alley,
Klancke made a motion to allow the tank at the agreed location as
show on the site plan with the condition that the concrete barriers
be placed and reflective tape placed on them for visual information
to traffic, the tank be well plowed out and tank is immediately
removed upon discontinuance of use. The determination of the
Board is that the propane tank is not a structure as defined in the
Ordinance, motion 2nd by Klancke, carried.
Clay reviewed the bids that were submitted for Well #7.
3 bids were in, low bidder is Amwest with a bid of $16,112.
Klancke made a motioai to award the Bid to Amwest Pump and Control,
2nd Schauner, carried.
ROW purchase for the by -pass road was discussed with regards to
need. Hartlaub discussed that an appraisal was needed before the
purchase and we should take care of that so we can proceed if
if that would be the decision. C.B. to take care of this. Tabled.
Information on the elec. line punch at the Mustang shows that
the cost is est. at $2700.
Brown discussed the Manager contract. He would like the board
to consider vacation time of 5 days after 6 months on the job, and
discussed the Town paying', all of the Health Insurance cost for
he and his wife. After discussion the Board denied the vacation
and allowed the full Insurance for Brown and his wife being paid
by the Town. M7 s/P/ Klancke, Muhlbauer.
Board approved and adopted Ordinance 172, Manager position.
M /S /P/ Schauner, Muhlbauer, with changes reviewed.
Board approved Brown attneding the CAST meeting in Steamboat
the 13th and 14th.
Budget briefly reviewed with operations numbers. Tabled.
International Falls filed', an opposition to the trademanrk. Need
information on prior to 1955 use in trade or commercial avenues.
Clerk to research and determine if we have this information, or
determine that we will not oppose their opposition.
Klancke would like to pursue the bee situtation, with regards that
the summer proved that they are a bother to the community in that
their not being here lessened the community aggravation and showed
that without bees in the hives we have a problem with the native

bees that is then further 'aggrevated by the hive bees. Klancke
would like to inform the owners of the bees of this. Klancke
asked that the board think about this and compose a letter
to that affect.
