To: McCall City Council:
0n January 4th, at the regular monthly meeting of the Payette Lake Progressive
Club, the membership was shown an artist sketch of a Veterans Memorial
proposed to be erected in Mccall by the Mccall American Legion Post. This
memorial will display the American and Idaho State flag. It will recognize all
veterans and also list the names individually of all those killed or missing in action
from Valley County. We were told that the American Legion would like to place
this memorial at the Community Park at Third and Lenora. It wasvoted
unanimously by all members present, that this would be a prestigious location to
show our appreciation for the spirit of America, State and U.S. Forces, and every
effort should be made to incorporate this memorial into the design of the park.
Sincerely,
