WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropropriatc more money than was appropriated in the annual budget; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, WAYNE COUNTY: SECTION 1. In calculating the number of gallons of gasoline used by the Police Department from January 1, 1979 through August 31, 1979, we find an avera e expenditure of $4,674 per month. Based on this calculation it would require ,088 for the calendar year 1979 to provide gasoline for the Police Department. In addition to this expenditure for the actual use of gasoline in 1979 there was $4,138 paid in 1979 'for gasoline used in 1978. Therefore, this makes a total expenditure needed in 1979 of $60,226. The balance of $6,774 is the amount needed to fill the tank at the end of the year 1979 so that we kill have a full tank starting 1980. To summarize the above: $4,674 per month x 12 months T56,088 needed per year + 4,138 used in 1978 paid in 1979 + 6,774 to fill tank at the end of year .677000 total needed. in 1979 $45,000 budgeted amount + 22,000 additional appropriation 967,000 total needed in 1979 As the above will allow for a full tank at the beginning of the.year 1980, we calculate the expenditure as follows: $4,674 per month x 12 months 56,088 needed per year $50,000 budgeted amount * 6 774 to be used in 1980 paid in 1979 56,774 total available in 1980 $56,774 total available in 1980 - 56,088 needed per year 686 surplus for price increase Members of Common Council.
