Chairman Bortel called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Roll call was taken: Commissioners Derrick, Olsen, Rapp, and Chairman Bortel were present.
Commissioners Barvian, Hagen, Hendricksen, Lucas, and Schmidt were absent.
Also in Attendance: Yuchen Ding, Associate Planner; Chief Jon Stratton, Plainfield Fire Department;
and Mary Ludemann, Plainfield Fire Department. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
OLD BUSINESS Discussion regarding Sprinkler Guideline in Downtown Plainfield with Plainfield Fire Department Chief
Jon Stratton and Mary Ludemann. Historic Guidelines Manual

Congregational Church Nomination
Chairman Bortel advised the committee that the plaque has been ordered.
BTD Informational Brochure
No Update.
2019 Preservation Awards Chairman Bortel reminded the committee to submit their award nominations.
Village Board Meeting on May 20th Celebration of Preservation Chairman Bortel advised there will be reception to follow the meeting. Demolition of 15024 S. DesPlaines St. No Update.
NEW BUSINESS April 11th HPC Meeting
Chairman Bortel stated there will be a public hearing 14930 S. Illinois Landmark Nomination and they
will also be hearing a case for an COA for 15326 S. Joliet Road.
15134 S. Fox River Landmark Nomination
Chairman Bortel provided the committee the history of the property and the condition on the current structure. Commissioner Derrick asked if the commission can tour the house. Chairman Bortel stated a
tour can be arranged. The committee discussed what criteria the structure would meet to be landmarked.
