MEDINA CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF APRIL 13, 2011
The City Council of Medina, Minnesota met in special session on April 13, 2011 at 5:39
p.m. at the Medina City Hall, 2052 County Road 24, Medina, MN.
I. Call to Order
Members present: Weir, Crosby, Siitari, Martinson
Members absent: Pederson
Also present: City Administrator Chad M. Adams.
II. City Administrator Search Options for Interim and Permanent Replacement
Crosby discussed the meetings he, Weir and Adams conducted with two executive search
firms on Friday, April 8th. Adams handed out the contract proposal with Brimeyer-
Fursman. Crosby outlined the flexibility that Brimeyer-Fursman was willing to provide
from their normal search process.
Adams provided a few handouts pertaining to the Interim City Administrator search. He
added that he would send the position profile to the Council for any comments on
Thursday.
Weir moved, Martinson seconded, to post the advertisement for the Interim City
Administrator position on the League of Minnesota Cities website. Motion passed
unanimously.
Crosby added that City Attorney Ron Batty has reviewed the contract with Brimeyer-
Fursman and has no modifications to its form or substance.
Weir moved, Siitari seconded, to approve the contract with Brimeyer-Fursman to conduct
the executive search for City Administrator, which incorporates both the submitted
proposal and cover letter as terms of the agreement. Motion passed unanimously.
III. Adjournment
Weir moved, Siitari seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 6:21 p.m.
