HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 14-11 Surplus Property - PD ArmorRESOLUTION NO. 14-11 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO RELATING TO SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY; DECLARING PERSONAL PROPERTY SURPLUS; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of McCall, Idaho ("City") has acquired certain personal property for the purpose of carrying out services in the public interest; and WHEREAS, Idaho Code 67-5732A allows the conveyance of surplus personal property to other state and local agencies; and WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed it unnecessary to maintain ownership of surplus personal property of the City; and WHEREAS, the McCall Police Department retains body armor used by a former McCall Police Department employee; and WHEREAS, the employee has since accepted a position with Madison County Sherriff's Office; and WHEREAS, the Madison County Sheriff Department has requested to purchase the selected body armor; and WHEREAS, the McCall Police Department no longer has a use for the selected body armor as it was custom fit to the former employee; and WHEREAS, the McCall Police Department, desires to sell to Madison County Sheriff s Office, the following surplus property: Body Armor Value: $230 NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED by the City Council of McCall, Idaho, as follows: Section 1: The City Council finds and declares that the City no longer has a use for the surplus property listed above. Section 2: The City Council adopts the valuation of the surplus property listed and described above. RESOLUTION 14-11 Page 1 of 2 June 26, 2014 Section 3: The City Clerk is authorized and directed to the surplus property as described above. Section 4: This Resolution shall take effect and be in approval. Passed and approved this 26 day of June, 2014.
