GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL
Special Session
May 7, 1992
The Greencastle Common Council met in special session in conjunction with the Putnam
County Council on Thursday, May 7, 1992 at 7:45 p.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom at
Putnam County Courthouse. On call of the roll the following members were shown to be
present: Councilor Tom Roach, Councilor Jerry Calbert, Councilor Sue Murray, Councilor
Charles Miles, Councilor Mike Rokicki. Mayor Harmless and City Attorney Larry Wilson were
present in the audience. Presiding officer for the meeting was Gene Clodfelter, other County
Council members present were: Max Nichols, Nancy Michael, Kenneth Ames, Bob Evans, Gerry
Hof fa, Francis Harris Evans. Also present were County Auditor Myrtle Cockrell and City
Clerk- Treasurer Judith Berry.
Mr. Clodfelter noted that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the county jail
project and the distribution of CEDIT. Discussion occurred concerning the issues of the county
and the cities and towns.
It was the recommendation of both councils to form a joint building committee within
thirty (30) days to review the jail project and the levels of participation in funding.
The joint session was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
County Council allowed public petitions and comments after the close of the meeting.
