AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,450,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation and public I/I reduction in Valley Public I/I Reduction (Clarkson Rd and Kehrs Mill
Rd) (12507) in the Cities of Ballwin, Chesterfield, Clarkson Valley, and Ellisville, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21912 with SAK Construction, LLC for the
aforesaid sanitary sewer rehabilitation and public I/I reduction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation and public I/I reduction
is One Million Three Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,376,150.00)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventy-Three
Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars ($73,850.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,450,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation and public I/I reduction in Valley Public I/I Reduction (Clarkson Rd and Kehrs Mill
Rd) (12507) in the Cities of Ballwin, Chesterfield, Clarkson Valley, and Ellisville, Missouri; said
contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the
General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21912
with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer rehabilitation
and public I/I reduction in Valley Public I/I Reduction (Clarkson Rd and Kehrs Mill Rd) (12507)
in the Cities of Ballwin, Chesterfield, Clarkson Valley, and Ellisville, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received on the 23rd day of June, 2020.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 8, 2020.
