HomeMy Public PortalAbout15501 West Lockwood Sanitary Relief (11679)ORDINANCE NO. 15501 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer construction in West Lockwood Sanitary Relief (11679) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21940 with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Two Million Four Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-Three Dollars ($2,433,333.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Seven Dollars ($366,667.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer construction in West Lockwood Sanitary Relief (11679) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 21940 with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction in West Lockwood Sanitary Relief (11679) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 14th day of August, 2020. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 8, 2020.
