A RESOLUTION RENAMING A PORTION OF FRAZIER STREET TO
BARNABY MILL ROAD
WHEREAS, the City currently has two adjoining dead end streets named Frazier Street,
which could lead to confusion for emergency service personnel and others;
WHEREAS, the Barnaby family operated the Barnaby Saw Mill, employing many
Greencastle residents, and contributed to the development of our community. The Barnaby Saw
Mill was once located where the two Frazier Streets meet; and,
WHEREAS, the City would like to rename a portion of Frazier Street, as set out on the
attached map, to Barnaby Mill Road.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE
Common Council hereby declares that the portion of Frazier Street delineated on the attached map
is hereby renamed Barnaby Mill Road, in honor of the Barnaby family and the saw mill that
operated at that location.
