AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
WAYNE COUNTY FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, The Wayne County, Indiana Foundation has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Department of Parks and Recreation desires to
submit a grant application to obtain funds that will be used to support its
2008 Summer Concert Series; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Department of Parks and Recreation is hereby
authorized to submit a grant application to the Wayne County Foundation.
2. The City of Richmond Department of Parks and Recreation is authorized to
accept said grant funding in an amount up to Five Thousand Dollars and Zero
Cents ($5,000.00).
3. Said funds if awarded shall be appropriated for the Department's 2008
Summer Concert Series, to include artists' fees and promotional costs.
4. No City of Richmond funds shall be required for said grant.
Passed and adopted this _7th day of _April 2008, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
