RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AUTHORIZING COMMENCEMENT OF EMINENT
DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS RE ARDEN DRIVE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City has attempted for approxi-
mately one year to obtain dedication to it of a portion of Lot 22, of
the Westerly two- thirds of The Rancho San Francisquito, official map
records, pages 93 and 94 of Book 42 of Miscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, for the purpose of improving Arden Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City has had the particular area desired sur-
veyed, and the survey performed by the County of Los Angeles checked
and verified by a local engineering firm and further by an engineer
firm selected by the owner of the subject real property, Wiza Salvas;
and
WHEREAS, Wiza Salvas has indicated her intention to deed the
subject real property to the City, without expense to the City, but
has failed, neglected and refused to deliver the subject deed to the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City desires to improve Arden
Drive without further delay,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1. That the City Attorney of the City of Temple
City, Henry W. Shatford, is instructed to proceed with condemnation
action on the behalf of the City of Temple City to condemn that cer-
tain real property for street purposes as said real property is des-
cribed in the legal description attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A"
and made a part of this Resolution as though set forth in full, and
which legal description is shown visually upon that certain map which
is also attached hereto, marked Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof as
though set forth in full.
SECTION 2. The Mayor of the City of Temple City, Howard M.
Dickason, is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the City of•
Temple City to make and execute any documents prepared by the City
Attorney to eccomplish the intent of this Resolution.
