AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
March 3, 1999 - Minutes
Call to Order and Members Present
Chair Merrill Saleen called the meeting to order at 12:05

Business
Minutes approved, motion made by Mike Anderson to sign minutes and minutes
were signed by Merrill Saleen.
Review a letter sent to the airport board from Salmon Air Taxi to request a lease
for a Commercial 135 operation to be held in their newly acquired building next to
the Pioneer Air Taxi building.
Discuss the review of the Land Lease Rates. Possible transfer fees to cover
lease changes. Need more comprehensive review of lease base rates. City
manager Mr. Bill Robertson notes that we can not legally increase the rates of
the existing leases. It was never our intention to change the rates of the existing
leases.
A motion was made by Mike Anderson and second by Rick Fereday, all in favor.
The motion: In course of negotiation of land lease rates and having Mrs. Wolters
show good faith to obtain a currant lease. Salmon Air Taxi should conduct
business as usual until we can sort out the land lease rates and review the old
lease of Pioneer Air Taxi and Mr. Ballard Smith.
Merrill Sateen stated that all other business will be carried to April's meeting.
The committee members reviewed the question list for Airport Manager interview.
The question list was approved as written.
Start interview process at 1:00.
Interview process ended at 4:30
Following the interview process, we moved to executive session. It was
motioned by Rick Fereday and second by Mike Anderson carried unanimously.
Mike Dorris commented on the interview process and gave the committee his
choices for Airport Manager. The Dorris were excused.
The committee has taken the top two candidates for Airport Manager and
assigned two teams to make reference checks.
Teams will be, Bill Keating, Mike Anderson and Lori MacNichol
Merrill Saleen and Rick Fereday.
Adjournment
Mike Anderson moves to adjourn and Lori MacNichol seconded and the motion
carried unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 5:35 PM

1: Copies of old leases and minimum standards for commercial 135 operations at

2: To review the issue of the lease Pioneer Air Taxi to Mr. Ballard Smith. City
