Business
Airport Manager update:
Geoffrey Rowe gave an update on the snowplowing activities. He explained that he has
plowed 6 out of the last 13 days. He has tracked the time required and it is taking 8 hrs to
complete the entire airport. He also stated that doing the airport alone leaves him little or no
time to complete administrative functions. He explained that his job description does not
say he will do the airport alone. He stated he has no problem plowing but always expected
help from Public Works. He feels it is too much for one person to complete in the correct
manner and also repair damaged lights and handle administrative functions. Mike
Anderson explained his concern because it was always the intent of the AAC to hire
primarily an administrator.
Action: Rick Fereday made a motion to have the Interim City Manager review the process
and request a solution be arranged with Public Works. Mike Anderson seconded the motion
and hit passed unanimously. The Airport Manager will request the meeting.
FY 1999 Revenue /Expenditure Report
The Airport Manager gave a review of the final FY99 report. The highlights included an
increase of 209% for tiedown fees and 226% for fuel flowage collection. The net revenue
over expenditures was 20.4%.
Airport Advisory Committee Requirements To Serve:
The Airport Manager pointed out that the current AAC Charter states that FBO's have only
non -voting members. If Mt Canyon Flying is considered an FBO under the current Minimum
Standards then Lori MacNichol may not be eligible to be a voting member. Rick Fereday
stated that was not his interpretation and the Charter is over 10 years old and vague. Mike
Anderson agreed that Lori MacNichol should be eligible
Action: The AAC requested the Airport Manager review the Charter and submit a new one
for AAC review.
Adiournment
Lori MacNichol moved to adjourn. Rick Fereday seconded and the motion carried
unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 PM.
