Business
Airport Manager update:
Geoffrey Rowe gave an update on the future Idaho Airport Management Association
Conference at Sun Valley. He pointed out that the State of ID receives 6 million in tax
revenue from aviation. The State Div of Aeronautics receives $300,000 to use for the
State's share of the grant money. With future improvement in federal funding the State will
not be able to take advantage of the grant money and will miss an opportunity to improve
the airport infrastructure.
Chris Kieth's request to the AAC to reconsider his lease request:
Mr. Keith asked the Airport Manager to place him on the agenda in order to appeal the AAC
decision on his lease request. Mr. Keith failed to appear at this meeting so the AAC tabled
any discussion until a later date.
Airport Advisory Committee Terms:
The Airport Manager requested all AAC members submit the starting dates of their
appointment to the AAC. After some discussion it was determined that Ray Franz has been
a member for six months, Lori MacNichol for 18 months; Mike Anderson and Rick Fereday
are at or past the three-year term. The AAC and the Airport Manager agreed to solicit for
new members in January. Mike Anderson and Rick Fereday are eligible for reappointment.
Action: The Airport Manager will advertise in December soliciting application for new
members. The AAC will interview and make a recommendation to the City Council.
Adiournment
Lori MacNichol moved to adjourn. Rick Fereday seconded and the motion carried
unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 PM.
